What Is the Difference Between a Caravan & a Mobile Home?

Essentially there is no difference between a static caravan and a mobile home. Some people use the term mobile home to describe a Park Home, whilst static caravans are normally referred to when discussing holiday park homes.

mobile home (also static caravan, caravan, trailertrailer homehouse trailer) is a prefabricated structure, built in a factory on a permanently attached chassis before being transported to site.

Used as permanent home, for holiday, temporary accommodation during a building project, staff accommodation and even emergency housing they are left often permanently or semi-permanently in one place, they can be move when they are no longer required or when you feel it is time to upgrade.

Within the static caravan title you also have the phrases single unit and twin unit.  As it suggests, a single mobile home unit is 1 unit on 1 chassis.  A twin mobile home unit is when a home is larger and arrives on site in two sections, usually this are 20 feet wide when connected together.
